Itinerary of Best tour of south India 12 days
Day – 1 Arrival in Chennai
Upon arrival at Chennai Airport, you will meet our representative and start moving to the hotel. This day you will visit the Chennai Government Museum, the Flower Market (usually early morning visit) and the KAPILESWARA Temple.
Day – 3 Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
We leave for Pondicherry around 9:00 am, Arrival and check-in at the hotel, then we start to visit the city. It is a very nice city so you can visit few temples, churches and markets.
Day – 4 Pondicherry – Chidambaram – KUMBHAKONAM
After breakfast, depart for KUMBHAKONAM visiting Chidambaram. Arrival in KUMBHAKONAM and sightseeing, Overnight in KUMBHAKONAM hotel
Day - 5 Kumbakonam - Tanjore - Madurai
Departure for Madurai by visiting Tanjore, later arrival in Madurai and sightseeing in the evening of (Minakshi temple). Overnight in Madurai
Day – 6 Madurai – Munnar
This day we leave for Munnar around 8:30 am, which is the area of the beautiful hills. After arrival, you check-in at the hotel and go for the visit of tea museum and local market.
Day – 7 Munnar
We leave for sightseeing of Munnar around 8:30am. It will be a beautiful day because you will visit some hills of Munnar such as ECO-Point, Top Station etc.
Day – 8 Munnar – Alleppey
This day need to start the day a bit early because need to almost 4 to 5 hours. We leave for Alleppey at 7:30 am, later arrival in Alleppey and check-in on floating boat. Then the boat will start the river ride. (Lunch, dinner and breakfast included). After taking some round in the river the boat will dock at a local place for overnight.
Day – 9 Alleppey – Marari
Check-out will be around 9:00 am and depart for Marari, Arrive and check-in in hotel and enjoy a free day at Beach, you may also visit a Shiva temple. Overnight in MarariÂ
Day - 10 Marari - Kumbalanghi - Cochin or Kochi
After breakfast we leave for the village of Kumba Langhi (Village of spices and seafood) This visit of village will be around 4 or 5 hours and then later on we leave for Kochi. Arrive in Kochi and check-in at the hotel. In the evening you may visit local places by your own
Day – 11 CochinÂ
The sightseeing will start around 9:00am. On this day you will explore synagogue, Fort Kochi, fishing net, church and spice market. Overnight in Kochi
Day – 12 Departure from Cochin
After breakfast you will proceed to Kochi airport according to your flight schedule for final departure. Please note – Usually, check-out timing from hotel is 12:00 so prepare accordingly.
