Red Fort Delhi
Indian fort and palaces, Red Fort of Delhi is one of the most attractive forts in India, which is located in the old part of Delhi. Red Fort was a royal township in the city of Shahjahanabad(old name of Delhi). Shah Jahan, was the Emperor of Mugal Dynasty who established this fort in 1639. This is the third Delhi monument, which is the part world heritage (UNESCO) list after Qutab Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. It was the seat of power of this Dynasty. Shahjahan was the only emperor, who has given much importance to this Fort.
Red Fort was built on the banks of river Yamuna, This fortress of Shahjahanabad took ten years to build and stands proudly, This fort got its name from the ‘’Red Colour sandstone’’, because they used it in making of its walls and gates which we have in abundance in the state of Rajasthan. There are two gates, Lahori Gate and Delhi Gate. There are halls for public and domed marble palaces, elegant apartments, gardens and a mosque. Red Fort, a world heritage site, remains one of the finest forts of India due to its exemplary planning and architecture.
Mandawa fort or Castle, Mandawa
The Mandawa Fort is the part of Indian fort and palaces. It is located in a small town ‘’Mandawa’’ in the state of Rajasthan, also known as the Castle Mandawa. Thakur Nawal Singh has built it in the 18th century. After renovation, it is a perfect blend of old, royal and modern architecture.

Junagarh Fort, Bikaner
Indian fort and palaces are worldwide famous. Junagarh fort is a known for its history, architecture and photography. It’s is one of the magnificent fort of India which is situated in Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan. Raja Rai Singh, was the founder of this fascinating Junagarh fort built between 1588 -1593 AD. He was the sixth ruler of Bikaner from 1571 to 1611 AD. The feature of the Junagarh fort is excellent quality of stone carving, which is best in the world. The moon palace is beautiful with paintings, mirrors and marble panels. The flower palace is awesome with glass and mirrors. Junagarh fort complex has two entrances and has a total of 986 long walls and has 37 bastions. There are almost 37 palaces, along with a number of pavilions and temples.
Suraj Pol and Daulat Pol are two main entrances of the fort. Suraj Pol (the sun gate) was east facing and was the main gate of the fort complex and Daulat Pol has the handprints of the royal ladies who became sati (sati mean dying with husband body) at the Sati Stambh. Camel Breeding Farm
‘’Camel Breading Farm ‘’Bikaner is the ideal spot to experience the real Rajasthani culture. The Camel Breeding Farm is located on the outskirts of the city. One can enjoy camel rides or ice cream made of camel’s milk. You can also check out an exclusive range of camel leather articles at the Camel Leather Shop. It usually takes an hour or less to fully explore the intriguing farm. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research founded this farm in 1984 to conduct exclusive research on camel. It is popular as Government Camel Breeding Farm and is supposedly one of the biggest camel reproduction farms in Asia, Spread over an area of 2,000 acre.
‘’Deshnok’’ is famous for the temple of Karni Mata(Rat Temple ), who is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Durga. Famed as the rat temple, as rats and mice are worshipped, it is one of India’s most fascinating temples that draw devotees from all over the world. The temple houses as many as 25,000 rats who are known as Kaabas. It is highly auspicious to have a white Kaaba run across your feet as people believe to them to be the sons of Karni Mata. There are around 600 families of the Charan clan claim to be the descendants of Karni Mata and believe that they will be reincarnated as rats.
Sonar Fort, Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer Fort or ‘’Sonar Fort’’ is one of the magnificent fort which is situated in Jaisalmer known as Sonar Quila(fort) is one of the largest forts in the world. The fort is located in the centre of the city, and is one of the most notable monuments around the world. It was built in 1156 AD. Jaisalmer Fort is a part of World Heritage Site, UNESCO.
Jain community had enough money to build it because they were all businessman and they had control on silk route. So later they agreed to build a massive fort to protect local culture and jain temples from invaders. Jaisalmer fort is 1,500 ft (460 m) long and 750 ft (230 m) wide and it is built on a hill that rises above a height of 250 ft (76 m) above the surrounding countryside.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
Mehrangarh fort owes its origin to Rao Jodha, ruler of Mandore and founder of the city of Jodhpur. When Rao Jodha decided to move his capital to a more secure and elevated position in Jodhpur, in 1459 he laid the foundations of this huge fort on a hill called Bhakurcheeria, also known as the Bird Mountain. Warrior woman Shri Karni Mata laid the cornerstone of this fort.

Fatehpur Sikri is a small city which is located 50 km far from Agra. This city is famous for Fathpur sikri fort. Mughal Emperor Akbar founded the city of in 16th century and was the capital of his Empire for fifteen years .The red sandstone makes it the beautiful fort of Fatehpur sikri. Becauseit is a UNESCO world heritage site, So iit became one of the famous tourist attraction, it is a fine example of Mughal and Islamic architecture. Agra Fort , Agra
Agra Fort is one of the beautiful Fort of India. It is located in Agra City. The great king Akbar was the founder of this amazing fort in the year 1573. It is one of the remarkable Structure of Mughal emperors in India. The history says that it took around eight years to construct it and 4000 workers used to build this extremely beautiful fort. Akbar built it as a palace in the idea of making it is his main residence. This fort is a excellent example of brilliant craftsmanship and this fort include Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khass, Diwan-i-Am, Khas Mahal, Machchhi Bhawan and Moti Masjid.
There are four gates to this fort out of which the Delhi gate and Lahore gate are the famous ones. The emperor Akbar used Delhi gate as his main entrance and also it was served as the security gate for the invaders. It was also the capital of Mughal’s but later they have shifted their capital from Agra to Delhi. Agra fort is just few kilometres away from the Taj Mahal and it is also declared as the world heritage site by the UNESCO.
Orchha fort and Palace
Orchha is a very beautiful town , which is located on the bank of Betwa River in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Bundela Rajput chieftain Rudra Pratap founded this beautiful town. The Orchha Fort Complex is the focus attraction of Orchha. There are three main palaces within the complex Raj Mahal, Jahangir Mahal and the final palace is the Rai Parveen Mahal, built in the name of the poetess and the musician, whose love story is outstanding. This Fort is the centre of the Orchha heritage and the narrator of the glorious past of this place.
Best time to visit the complex is during the winter season from September to March, when the temperature decreases. The best way to reach there, we need to take a train from Agra and get down at Jhansi railways station and then take a taxi for Orchha. People usually visit this place while going to Khajuraho because it comes in the middle of two tourist destinations Agra and Khajuraho but one need to take train from Agra because it is the best way to reach Jhansi.
