South India Tour Itinerary
We start our tour from Chennai and it will be finishing in Cochin. Between these two starting and ending point we will be explore Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Tanjore, Madurai, Munnar, Aleppey and Mararikulam. So let’s start our trip of 13 days in South India
Day 1 Arrive in Chennai
Arrive in Chennai and check-in in hotel (Depends on arrival time but we take it as you are arriving at 9:00 am). Later proceed for the visit of Chennai Museum and Kapileshwar temple. After lunch relax in hotel and late afternoon go for the visit of Local markets, which are just superb. You may enjoy local food and overnight in Chennai Hotel.
Day 2 Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (1h-40 min)
On this beautiful day you will visit the beautiful Chennai flower market. The day will start bit early, we check out from hotel and visit flower market. After the visit we will proceed to visit Kanchipuram and later we will arrive at Mahabalipuram which is around 2 hours away from Chennai. Arrive and check-in in Hotel and relax a bit. Here you don’t need any car you can explore on feet, just walk and click amazing pictures. In short, You will visit here Shore temple, Descent of Ganges, Krishna’s butter ball, Group of monument and beach. All things to explore are at one place and beautiful beach as well. However, driver and car is always available for you but please inform us in advance. In the evening you may enjoy dinner in local restaurant.

Day 3 Mahbalipuram – Pondicherry (2h)
Enjoy breakfast and prepare for check-out and proceed for Pondicherry around 8:30 am. It will take around 2 hours from hotel. However, while driving you can explore the beautiful banana and coconut plantation and click pictures. Arrive and check-in in Hotel of Pondicherry. Later visit the city temple, beautiful churches and beach market. Overnight in Pondicherry
Day 4 Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Kumbakonam (3h-30 min)
After a healthy breakfast start your day around 8:30 am. Check-out from hotel and move towards Chidambaram, upon arrival visit the world famous Natraja temple and later proceed for Kumbakonam. Arrive and check-in in hotel and relax a bit and later visit city and explore Shri Airavatesvara temple, Divya Desam temple on this amazing South India Tour. Overnight in hotel
Day 5 Kumbakonam – Tanjore – Madurai (4h-30 min)
The day will start around 8:30 am, enjoy breakfast and proceed for Tanjore. This city is among one of the cultural city of South India. Depart for Tanjore for the visit of BRINDESHWARA temple. You can visit local market and enjoy walking around there. After that proceed for Madurai, arrive and check-in in hotel and relax a bit because it took around 4 and half hours to reach there. Â Later visit Minakshi temple in the evening which is just awesome.Â
Day 6 Madurai - Munnar (4h - 45 min)
This day will start at 8:30 am, enjoy breakfast and proceed for visit of Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace and local market. After the visit proceed for Munnar which is around 5 hours drive from Madurai. After a long arrive in Munnar and relax. Later you can visit Tea Museum and taste India tea. Evening is free and enjoy dinner in Hotel.
Day 7 Munnar
This day you will explore the beauty of Munnar which is just superb. After breakfast in hotel, you may start your day at 8:30 am. This day you will be exploring View point, Top station, Eco point, Mattupetty Dam. Later come back to hotel and enjoy dinner in hotel. Overnight in hotel
Day 8 Munnar – Alleppey (House Boat)(4 h-30 min)
Wake-up early and enjoy breakfast and start your day as early as possible. Check-out from hotel and proceed for Alleppey where you will enjoy Houseboat stay (Backwater). Usually once the guests arrive in boat it moves and take around along the river which is awesome, so reach there around noon 12:00. Enjoy lunch and dinner on Board. Day 9 Alleppey
It is relaxing day on Board, so enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner on board. Moreover, The boat will move according to its program, so just chill. Overnight in Houseboat
Day 10 Alleppey - Maraikulam (Marari) (30 min)
Breakfast on board and prepare for check-out. Later proceed for Mararikulam which is a beautiful place to explore. You will enjoy a 2 days stay here on beach resort. As it is not so far so you will rech there is 30 minutes only. Check-in in hotel and enjoy your stay. Overnight in resort
Day 11 Mararikulam (Beach)

Day 12 Mararikulam – Kumbalanghi village – Cochin (1h-15 min)
After a healthy breakfast prepare for check-out and proceed for the visit of Kumbalaghi village where you will see so many amazing things about local village life. Your lunch will be at village. Enjoy a 4 to 5 hour visit and late afternoon reach at Cochin City. Check-in and relax at hotel and later around 6:00 pm prepare for the visit of Kathakkali Dance show and Martial art show (both happens at same place). Day 13 Cochin – Back to Home (flight)
On this beautiful day you will explore the city attractions like Muttancherry, Fort kochi, Senagoge, Chinese fishing net, Church and local spice market. Just after breakfast check-out from hotel and visit all places. In addition, we advise you to buy fresh spices from this market because it is cheap and aromatic. After all sightseeing our driver will drop you at the Cochin airport which is round 1 and half hour away from the Fort kochi.
